Audio Points & Coupling Discs
GET THE NOISE OUT!
Audio Points™ improve the sound quality of electronic components, home hi-fi and all guitar amplifiers, turntables, loudspeakers, video gaming systems, recording desks and hard drives, power distribution systems, active isolation tables, AC wall panels, clock radios, boom boxes, subwoofers, microphone stands, equipment racks, sound reinforcement and a few chosen musical instruments such as vibraphone, marimba, upright bass, and cello by transferring unwanted noise out and away from the chassis of the equipment.

The Audio Points also improve visual presentations in TV, computer monitors, and cable or satellite boxes as the video reproduction industry fails to address mechanical resonance and noise and how much it affects video circuits and screen elements.
Electricity is a noise generator. The energy from electrical flow causes vibrations that generate amplitudes of resonance. Resonance is like a slow-moving thickening substance as it builds upon all electronic parts, and the chassis clogs every mechanical, electromechanical, and acoustic signal pathway. These unwanted properties negatively affect your sound and video quality, limiting the operational efficiency of everything in the entire system.
Musical instruments and loudspeakers generate resonance from vibrations. Magnet movements or physically induced hand pressures establish vibrations. If not removed or dissipated, resonance produces logjams in the signal. These phenomena affect timing, so hearing the following note in succession as clean as the first becomes the difference in what we hear as audible musicality.
The high-speed exit of detrimental resonance caused by vibrations establishes greater operational efficiency within the component or loudspeaker per the law of Coulomb friction and damping.
Audio Points function as high-speed brass conductive gateways for resonance and unfavorable noise to flow out and away from the component or loudspeaker. The Science of Resonance Energy Transfer titled Live-Vibe Technology™ is the newest and most effective methodology in a string of age-old theorem adaptations such as absorption, isolation, and constrained layer damping which are currently used in vibration management applications of audio products.
With over one million units sold, the Audio Points have stood the test of time, outlasting hundreds of competing products by delivering the musical results listeners are looking for – as promised.
WEIGHT CAPACITY: The smallest Audio Points support 1,000 pounds each, and the larger versions will hold over 2,000 pounds.
STABILITY: In 33 years, we have never recorded a complaint where equipment fell off a shelf or rack, including earthquakes. If an accident occurs, a single Audio Point generally falls onto its side, and the equipment movement ceases. As engineers, we realize there is always a first time for everything however, the Audio Points have a positive and lengthy track record for concerns regarding instability.
RECOMMENDED SUPPORT: Three Audio Points are recommended for most applications; however, some larger amplifiers, speakers, or turntables may require a fourth set.
There are three sizes of Universal Audio Points available based on height requirements and performance levels. This group of Audio Points has no threads fit between components and loudspeakers and is simple to install. The APCD4 Coupling Discs are now included in the price of every Audio Point purchase.
Audio Point Performance Includes – “DUAL FUNCTIONALITY”!

The Audio Points work in both directions. The sharp tips can face skyward or towards earth fitting into the APCD4-Inverted coupling discs. Tips pointing skyward provide one set of speed ratios for resonance flow and pointing them in the opposite direction delivers a slightly different speed. Either direction expands musical characteristics known as attack, sustain, and decay, delivering more musical quality from the equipment you already own.
With all the various materials used to manufacture components and speaker chassis in today’s market, we urge listeners to experiment with tips up or down to get the most value from their purchase. Occasionally favoritism may find two tips facing up and one tip facing down that delivers your desired musical performance.
The preferred and most popular position to date is the tip pointing downward.
For the aggressive audiophile looking to fine-tune their setup, positioning Audio Points under the chassis in various locations will also change listening outcomes. For best results, we urge users to place them an inch or two in from the outside edges of the chassis staying away from factory footer locations. The methodology is to evacuate noise created by electricity and resonance from critical parts such as transistors, circuits, capacitors, ceramic tube sockets, transformers, power supplies, and crossovers.
Plastic feet sound like plastic, cork footers deliver a slightly damped emotionless sound, stainless and hardened steels lead to a higher-pitched sonic limiting decay length, ceramics can collapse a soundstage, springs create timing artifacts and delays in speaker waveform disbursements, and rubber or spongy materials absorb the dynamics and harmonic structures we seek to acquire as listeners. If you combine two or more of these materials who knows what outcome you will get? The audible results described above are easily heard through testing in your environment with your system.
EASY INSTALLATION: Insert the Audio Points into the APCD4 receiving cup tip-up or down. They will balance themselves in the discs until chassis placement. Their positioning has no rules for placement and never has to be isosceles or measured angles for function.
The sonic results are immediately heard and will increase over the next seven to fourteen days. You hear these improvements every day, so you know the product is working in your favor.
“I was somewhat taken aback to hear such an immediate and dramatic difference. That difference was there from the first, and it only deepened and intensified as I added more Audio Points into the mix. Which is to say, the more I listened, the closer my dropped jaw got to the floor.”

Coupling Discs
In the beginning, simple round pieces of brass were cut, and a notch was tapped into the top to hold the Audio Point tip to protect hardwood floor surfaces. We gave them away for free with all speaker mount Audio Point products. Learning from the listenership, that move was taking away from the level of performance when using just the Audio Point.

We then turned our engineering attention to the disc itself. The APCD2 came about one year later and was designed to keep up with the speed, sheer wave disbursement, and resonance transfer. Engineering also had to maintain the musical characteristics such as an attack, sustain, and decay associated with hearing the musical experience. The APCD2 served our needs for twenty-three years.
The dawning of the Sistrum Platforms using an inverted Audio Point where the tip faces skyward created a nightmare of using Scotch Magic Tape® for installation. The bottom line was this application sucked a lot of time and effort because we, as audiophiles, tend to become lazy when additional tasks are required for installation.
Designing the specific shapes of the Coupling Discs took a tremendous amount of time and was more difficult than any Audio Point body style. The geometry has to match the speed of sheer and resonance moving along the surface of the cone shape to maintain sonic without altering the audible performance of the instrument. There are currently five body styles of Audio Points, so the investment in time and listening tests far outweighed most other products. Locke T Highleyman Live Vibe Audio Engineering

Sistrum Platforms set in motion a tremendous increase in the understanding and advancement of Live-Vibe Technology™. Born out of necessity came the APCD4 Inverted Coupling Disc. This product became the extension of the Audio Point, where the design proves that adding the Coupling Disc provides increased performance.
We attempted to manufacture the Audio Point and Coupling Disc as a single piece and failed miserably in sonic evaluations. It did not work.
Live Vibe Audio engineers also innovated a heavier and larger outside diameter coupling disc to accommodate the increased sizing of the Rhythm Platforms Floor Points. These equipment racking systems hold the heaviest of gear audio offers, so increasing the formula of brass weight currently built into the smaller discs, the APCD5 has come of age.

The APCD5 is an upgrade with any Audio Point or Platform assembly. The function also increases on carpets where we did not see that benefit coming. It is fun when the invention delivers more uses than previously thought.
Proving the function of any Live Vibe Audio Coupling Disc is easy. Replace one with any other disc available in the market, any coin, or any other type of material available. This will dramatically limit the Audio Points performance or change the character of the sonic your system produces.
Testing continued as the coupling discs opened the gates for more knowledge and increased performances. Live-Vibe Technology is only twenty years old, or should we say young. There is a lot more to learn.

Turntable Platter Ground™
Turntable weights and clamps address warping and vinyl record movement but leave the sound quality heavily damped and lifeless.
Unlike weights or clamps, the Platter Ground™ approaches the improvement of sonic performance by transferring resonance and airborne energy at high speed from the surface of a vinyl record, tonearm, phono cartridge, and platter to the turntable grounding pole, commonly known as the spindle.
Extraneous energy generated by mechanical, electromechanical, and, more importantly, airborne resonance, directly affects the tonearm, record, and cartridge performance. Amplitudes of this resonance cycle through the turntable structure, the release of which is impeded by friction within the contact of materials per Coulomb’s law.

Research of turbulent energy patterns established on the vinyl record itself has opened doors of new mechanical grounding insight never anticipated by Live Vibe Audio product developers. It has been discovered that under constant centrifugal momentum, the introduction of the Platter Ground™ caused resonant energies in such a structure to become neutralized (become laminar in fashion).
As a result, the resultant force vector of detrimental energy (mechanical, electromechanical, and airborne resonances) becomes purely “normal” (perpendicular) to the spindle, opening a direct pathway for unwanted outside energy to flow away from the table. This in effect expedites the mechanical grounding effect, thus removing (not damping) the resonant byproducts.
These are the opinions of company engineers. We have no research data currently available to confirm our theorems however, the product has yielded highly audible improvement in performance in our blind A/B testing for 96% of the test subject listeners.
The results will improve turntable performance and design principles for years to come improving the sound of vinyl that touches the soul of all listeners.
You will hear deeper into the recording than ever before.
Answers to Product Operational Concerns: The Platter Ground will not tip over and does not wobble about on the record. It is engineered and balanced for maintaining stability in motion and weighs 0.6 pounds (269 grams). As one can see, this device weighs much less than the average record clamp. There are zero complaints from listeners whereas the Platter Ground has fallen over, damaged any vinyl, or ruined any motor drives.
